This is a leisurely walk through Moscow's best-kept historic district of Zamoskvorechie, home for some fine examples of religious architecture, filled with precious Orthodox art. You will hear about the principles of the Orthodox beliefs and see why the iconic depictions of the Russian church have inspired followers for over a thousand years and survived Stalin's purge on religion. This walk begins at the headquarters of Russian Orthodox faith, south of the city centre, meanders through a splendid part of the city sprinkled with Tsarist atmosphere and ends at the spectacular delight of St. Basil's Cathedral.
